CHIGGERS

Chiggers are minute and nearly invisible arthropods about 0.02 mm long. They range from yellow to light red. Most chiggers are natural ectoparasites. On their natural hosts they do not cause severe dermatitis, but when they attack man they are often responsible for swellings of the skin accompanied by intense itching.
